PCI - Annual BBQ

MEMBER EVENT We are delighted to announce that our Annual BBQ will go ahead on Sunday, 2nd August 2026, in Fota Island Resort, Fota Island, Cork, and we sincerely hope you will come along and join us. We have a great event planned for our members to enjoy and have again negotiated special rates for accommodation at the 5 star hotel. As we did last year we have included visits to the Fota Island Wildlife Park, a reduced green fee rate for those who would like to play a round of golf and the resort has a fabulous leisure centre for you to enjoy. Further details on the event will be sent by email giving the layout and structure of the event. This being a very busy holiday time the events team ask that you attend to booking your accommodation as soon as possible. See below. Deadline for BBQ Registration: Monday 27th July All members must register and pay online to attend. Bookings will close at Midnight on Monday 27th July 2026. There will be no option to pay on the day. Timings: (approximate and subject to change on the day 11:00 — Gates open (please don't arrive earlier) 12:00 — Concours judging begins 17:30 — BBQ is served 20:30 — Concours Prizes and Club Awards 21:00 and onwards — socialise, catch up with friends and meet new friends Ticket Prices: PCI member, member's partner and adult guests: €55 Teens (12-18): €20 Children (under 12): Free Bookings are non-refundable and essential as numbers for the dinner may be restricted due to availability of space and food preparation. Overnight rate per room is €295 B&B single occupancy, €315 B&B double occupancy. Supplements for double room €95, family room with two adults and two children €110. The resort also have available a number of 2 - 3 bedrooms holiday cottages which are available for families to share. Please contact the hotel, quote the booking reference and secure your stay. Concours Competitions: 2026 Concours competitions, some new rules We are excited to announce this year's Concours d'Elegance, Street Concours and People's Choice competitions at the annual PCI barbecue. As any Concours should always be an effort and following member feedback, we are making some changes to the rules. (link to Concours rules) Concours d’Elegance - no change: This is for the highest standard of cars. Cars qualifying for this would have had extensive work done and are in as new condition. However, since new cars would require little to no effort to meet these criteria, cars younger than 10 years (2016 and later) are not allowed for this particular competition. All cars must be presented in flawless visual condition. This is limited to 10 spaces, entrants must register. Judges will evaluate vehicles following these judging criteria. (link to Concours d’Elegance scoring sheet) The winner of the Concours d’Elegance will have a picture of their car printed on the 2026 Club membership card.
