PCGB R19 WOTY - Yorkshire Dales & North York Moors

MEMBER EVENT Thursday 10th Sept – Monday 14th Sept: 2026 WOTY to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors (Pickering YO18 7AA and Hawes DL8 3PT) Join us on the Thames Valley (R19) 2026 WOTY (Weekend Of The Year) for a trip to the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors. Over four days you’ll have the opportunity to drive some of the best roads in the area as well as visit many of the local attractions. There’s an initial two night stay in Pickering on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors before spending the last two nights at Hawes in the heart of the Dales. At each location you have an option of a drive out on one day (complete with tulip maps for those up for a challenge, otherwise a Google map route) taking you along some great driving roads but also providing breathtaking scenery. Along the way there’ll be stop-offs at interesting local attractions including the Wensleydale Creamery, Ribblehead Viaduct plus various other interesting landmarks. You can choose to stop-off and mosey around these interesting places or continue the drive. The other two days are yours to do as you please. Perhaps a walk across the gorgeous countryside, a lazy day soaking in the ambiance of the hotel or visiting other interesting venues around the locality. The WOTY starts on Thursday 10th Sept with a two day stay at the White Swan Inn in the centre of Pickering just on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. On the Saturday we’ll drive across to Hawes and stay in the highly recommended Stone House Hotel at the heart of the Dales for two nights. On a two sharing basis, the cost per room is £870 and on a single basis the cost is £640. This includes four nights bed and breakfast plus the group dinner on the first evening.
