PCGB R19 - West London Aero Club (WLAC) Member’s Day

MEMBER EVENT We’ve been attending the West London Aero Club (WLAC) ‘Members Air Day’ every year since 2019 for one very good reason: there’s loads to enjoy for everyone. The region’s early-birders know the venue well from our regular breakfast-meets. However, Members’ Air Day is the annual stand-out event you won’t want to miss. Previous displays have included the unforgettable Avro Lancaster in her full aerial majesty as well as static displays of Hawker Hurricanes and other historic beauties. We’re never quite sure what they’ve in store for us each year but they’ll no doubt pull out all the stops to build on previous success. Plus, you’ll be pleased to hear the day’s proceeds go in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund and Thames Valley Air Ambulance. There’s a true village-fête feel, with the usual array of stalls offering sustenance and souvenirs as well as rides for active kids. The day is also very child and dog-friendly, though owners are politely urged to keep the latter on a lease. The former is at the discretion of parents. The cost for each car (including up to 4 people) is £15. Given the over-hyped (and over-priced) theme parks in the region we think that’s a bit of a bargain. We’ve secured 100 car places, so plenty of room. The event will start mid-morning and last most of the day, although you can leave whenever you wish, of course. You’ll be unsurprised to learn that Members Air Day is very popular, so be hair-trigger quick on booking your place.
