Inaugural Dales Drive

The first official PWYC driving tour covering three outstanding driving regions in Northern England. 16–17 October 2026 2 Days • 1 Night Yorkshire Dales • Pennines • Wolds Event Overview: The Inaugural Dales Drive marks the beginning of PWYC's journey and sets the tone for everything the club is about. Over two days and one night, members will experience some of the finest driving roads Northern England has to offer across the Yorkshire Dales, Pennines and Yorkshire Wolds. Expect spectacular scenery, flowing roads, great photography opportunities and plenty of time to enjoy both the drive and the company. The pace is enjoyable rather than rushed. This is a drive built around great roads, great scenery and great people, not a rally. Drive Highlights: The Inaugural Dales Drive begins with an early morning meet before heading north to explore some of the most iconic roads and scenery Northern England has to offer. Highlights include: - Yorkshire Dales driving roads - Buttertubs Pass - Ribblehead Viaduct - Pennines driving routes - Humber Bridge - Yorkshire Wolds roads Approx. 650 miles over two days Scenic photography opportunities throughout Regular comfort and refreshment stops Overnight stay with fellow members Routes, timings, joining points and waypoint information will be shared with registered attendees closer to the event. As with all PWYC drives, members can join or leave at planned waypoints to fit around their schedule. The focus is on great roads, great scenery and great company rather than rigid schedules or long days spent without breaks. Booking Information: - PWYC membership is free. - Members cover their own fuel, food, accommodation and any optional event-related costs. - Recommended accommodation, meeting information and event guidance will be shared in advance where applicable. - This is a pay-your-own-way event with no club fees or subscriptions. - Members can complete the Event Attendance Form to secure their place on this drive. - Routes, timings, joining points, waypoint information and event updates will be shared with registered attendees closer to the event. - For any bookings made on behalf of the group, members agree to abide by the supplier's published cancellation policy. - - Any costs incurred outside those terms remain the responsibility of the member.
