Classics over Sands

📍 The Playing Fields · Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria LA11 7AB

Organised by Classics Over Sands

With a full to bursting field of classic cars and motorcycles, the Grange car show is looking like another cracking day out for all the family. Situated close to Grange town centre, our location gives an awesome view of Morecambe Bay as the backdrop to the show. We have 300 classic cars and motorbikes, with 1920’s machines right up to modern classics, of the 80’s and 90’s, there is literally something for everyone. Our visitors, act as judges of the cars and bikes, as they are asked to vote for the vehicles, they want to see win in each of four classes! The show is run each year, completely by volunteers, with all profits split between a local charity; St Mary’s Hospice and Prostrate Cancer Support, as well as national charity Prostrate Cancer UK. At only £8 per adult, children and parking free, this really is a reasonably priced family show, We’ve plenty of attractions other than cars, with a local blues band and the ever-popular Milnthorpe steel band, side shows, locally based food and drink stalls as well as plenty of ice cream! Once again we have had close to our maximum of 300 field entries, with a fantastic selection of cars to look forward to. One of my favourites is this 1957 Dodge pickup, found after being left forgotten for nearly 40 years, this flathead side vale 6 cylinder, both looks and sound superb. Make a date to join us at Classics over Sands, in beautiful Grange over Sands on Sunday 9th August. Whilst we will shortly be closing entries, you can apply to join our waiting list, as we often have a number of entries who are unable to make the show. Once again, Grange’s very own Classic Car Show takes place this year on Sunday 9th August, with an amazing assortment of classics from the 1920’s right up to 2001. With over 80% of entries already subscribed, it looks as though it will be another full show. So if you’ve still to enter, get your skates on, as we expect entries to be full well before August. This year we’ve new attractions and stallholders, with some very special children’s entertainment, in fact something for everyone.
