ClassicFest 2026

📍 Galway Racecourse · Ballybrit, Galway, H91 V654

Organised by ClassicFest

Classic Fest returns to Galway Racecourse on Sunday, 7 June 2026, bringing one of Ireland’s largest one-day gatherings of vintage and classic vehicles back to Ballybrit. Following the success of previous years, which attracted more than 5,000 visitors from across Ireland, the event promises an even bigger celebration of motoring heritage, family entertainment and community spirit. With more than 800 vehicles on display from every county in Ireland and thousands raised annually for local charities, Classic Fest has become a standout event on the Irish vintage calendar. Interest in the 2026 edition is already exceptionally strong, with pre-registrations significantly ahead of previous years. For Irish Vintage Scene’s Classic Fest 2026, Galway Racecourse will once again be transformed by the sights, sounds and atmosphere of vintage and classic motoring. Cars, motorcycles, tractors, trucks and steam engines — some dating back almost 100 years — will descend on the famous racecourse for a memorable family day out. While the preservation and celebration of Ireland’s motoring heritage remains at the heart of the event, Classic Fest offers far more than vehicle displays alone. Visitors can enjoy a busy food village, live music and entertainment throughout the day, trade stalls, an autojumble, traditional craft displays and a wide variety of attractions for all ages. Families attending can also enjoy free children’s entertainment including face painting, balloon modelling, games, stilt walkers and a kids’ disco, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. A major attraction once again will be “Model Fest”, the indoor diecast and scale model exhibition featuring detailed miniature displays and dioramas that continue to captivate visitors young and old alike. Classic Fest also continues to support important local and national causes. Since launching, the event has donated more than €40,000 to charity, with the 2026 event supporting Galway Sick Kids, Rosabel’s Rooms, Claddagh Watch, Blood Bike West and Galway Civil Defence.
