CASTLE COMBE AUTUMN CLASSIC 2026

📍 Castle Combe Circuit · Castle Combe, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 7EY

Organised by Castle Combe Circuit Ld

The Autumn Classic returns for 2026 as a two-day celebration of historic motorsport at Castle Combe Circuit, marking a significant milestone — 50 years of Castle Combe Circuit Ltd, founded by Howard Strawford in the mid-1970s. The event reflects the era that shaped the modern circuit, delivering a relaxed, heritage-led weekend focused on evocative machinery, open paddocks, and close, characterful racing around the historic Wiltshire venue. Advance admission tickets are available, with Super Early Bird and Early Bird rates offered for a limited time. These prices are time-limited and subject to availability, with ticket prices increasing as the event approaches. Racing Action Racing at the Autumn Classic is organised by the Castle Combe Racing Club and is made up entirely of invited historic guest categories, with no CCRC club championships running at this meeting. The weekend brings together long-standing Autumn Classic favourites alongside the addition of new invited grids for 2026, ensuring a varied and high-quality historic racing programme across both days. Visiting racing clubs for 2026 include the Ferrari Owners’ Club, Scottish Motor Racing Club, FISCAR, HRDC, Motor Racing Legends, GT & Sports Car Cup, and Mini 7s, delivering a broad mix of historic machinery and well-established grids familiar to Autumn Classic regulars. Recent editions have featured hugely popular races such as the HRDC Gerry Marshall Trophy, producing some of the closest and most atmospheric racing of the weekend. The full timetable and entry list for 2026 will be confirmed nearer the event, with further previews and content released in the run-up to the festival. Event Theme & Poster Autumn Classic 2026 marks a major milestone as we celebrate 50 years of Castle Combe Circuit Ltd. Formed in 1976 under the leadership of Howard Strawford, the company was created at a pivotal moment when the future of the circuit was uncertain, with increasing safety pressures and a genuine risk of closure. What followed was a period of rapid transformation, with investment in infrastructure and standards that secured Castle Combe’s long-term survival and allowed it to grow from hosting just a handful of events each year into the full and diverse motorsport calendar enjoyed today. That defining moment is reflected in the official Autumn Classic 2026 event theme and poster, which looks back to the circuit’s formative years in the mid-1970s. The artwork takes inspiration from the first race meeting under the new ownership in 1976, depicting Gerry Marshall’s iconic Baby Bertha alongside Vince Woodman’s Capri at Quarry — a scene that captures the atmosphere, cars and characters of the era that shaped modern Castle Combe. Printed exclusively for the 2026 Autumn Classic on 190gsm A3 stock, the poster serves as both a visual centrepiece for the event and a tribute to the period that secured the circuit’s future, tying the historic racing on track directly back to one of the most important chapters in Castle Combe’s history. Paddock Access Open paddock access is available throughout the weekend, giving spectators the chance to get up close to the historic machinery and enjoy the Autumn Classic’s relaxed, heritage-led atmosphere. It’s an opportunity to see the cars being prepared between sessions, talk to teams and drivers, and experience the event at a more personal, unhurried pace. Club & Individual Display Parking Club and Individual Display passes are available for those wishing to bring classic or retro vehicles to the event. These displays are located around the paddock and help build the weekend’s classic festival feel, while remaining separate from the dedicated 1970s showcase. Discounted rates may be available for 1970s-era vehicles, larger clubs, or special display groups. Club organisers are encouraged to get in touch via george@castlecombecircuit.co.uk to discuss options. Paddock Club Hospitality Paddock Club hospitality is available on both days and offers a more comfortable way to enjoy the Autumn Classic, with access to an indoor space, paddock-side viewing, and hot food and drinks throughout the event. It provides a relaxed base between races, giving guests somewhere warm and sheltered to sit, eat, and watch the on-track action. It’s well suited to families, groups, or anyone looking to enjoy the historic weekend with a bit more comfort while staying close to the paddock and circuit. Early Bird pricing is available for a limited time, with limited availability, and these tickets often sell out in advance. Shop & Traders The Event Day Shop will be open across the weekend, offering official Castle Combe Circuit merchandise, clothing and accessories. A range of traders are also expected to attend, adding to the festival atmosphere. Trade passes are available for businesses wishing to exhibit at the event, although trader attendance cannot be guaranteed. Food and drink A range of food and drink options will be available across both days, including the circuit café, food stalls, bars and coffee vans located around the venue. With outlets positioned near key spectator areas, there will be plenty of choice for refreshments throughout the weekend. For food and drink enquiries, please contact george@castlecombecircuit.co.uk. General Public Admission Admission includes access to all racing across both days, open paddock access, and all main spectator viewing areas around the circuit. Gates open from 8:00am, with track action starting from 9:00am. Advance tickets offer the best value, with Super Early Bird and Early Bird rates available for a limited time ahead of the event.
