PCGB R6 Masson Mills

MEMBER EVENT

Masson Mills was built by Sir Richard Arkwright in 1783 to utilise the water power of the River Derwent for the mass production of spun cotton. The entire site is still powered by the River Derwent today producing renewable energy via hydroelectric turbines.

Meet at Chester Services and be ready to leave at 10.30am. The plan is to arrive and park up at the mill before 12.30pm. A buffet lunch will be served. Then, after lunch we’ll have our tour which should take around an hour and a half.

I’ll need to pre-order the buffet lunch at a cost of £10 per head. Entrance fee, teas and coffees to be paid separately on arrival.

Please let me know if you are coming and if you have any dietary requirements.
